CleanMyPC is a high quality, easy-to-use software utility designed according to the strict standards of Microsoft. It runs regular maintenance mechanisms, performs routine checks and removes clutter from your hard drive to ensure that your computer is working at its optimum speed and performance.

It is not a secret that a fresh Windows installation runs significantly faster, but as you install more applications and use your computer on a day to day basis the system accumulates unneeded files and slows down. CleanMyPC works by analysing your hard drive and identifying files that are safe to remove to free up valuable disk space. They are split into four categories:
Caches & Logs applications usually store chunks of prepared data, i.e. caches on your hard drive to expedite load. Although some apps come with built-in cache control mechanisms, the majority of those leave a significant amount of data sitting unneeded on your drive. Log files record the activity of Windows and applications and are usually used for informational purposes. Removing caches and logs will not affect the functionality of your applications but will recover hard drive space.
Help Files - most applications (as well as Windows itself) come with help files which contain information about programmes' functionality and workflow. You can safely remove help files for the applications that you already use freely.
Extra Languages - some applications come with built-in language translations. Since you only want your application in one language you can safely remove the rest.
Trash & Junk remove various files such as crash reports that you cant usually access on your own but can still remove.

CleanMyPC will never delete your personal data or files you created. Only "safe" files from the verified database will be removed. Critical System files, recent backups and other similar items are excluded from Scan and Clean. In addition to cleaning and scanning features, CleanMyPC comes with a set of built-in utilities which help to keep your computer reliable, fast, clean and working like new:
Secure Erase - when you simply remove files to and from the Recycle Bin they can still be brought back by third party data recovery software. Use Secure Erase to remove files for good.
Complete Uninstall - remove applications without leaving a trace.
Registry Cleanup - find and fix erroneous entries.
Autorun - while launching applications automatically with Windows can be convenient, some applications may do this without your knowledge and you might want to prevent them from doing so. Removing applications from autorun manually may not be convenient and may sometimes be beyond your control - Windows stores autorun data in several places and locating a specific application might be tricky.
Gadgets and Extensions Manager - Windows (and some apps) install Gadgets and Extensions onto your system. While some applications provide you with removal options, sometimes you dont have this choice. CleanMyPC lists all the extensions you can remove. This cannot be undone so please make sure you dont remove Gadgets or Extensions you might need in the future.
